Never a dull moment with these Jets. How long has Tebow been trying to improve his throwing motion and decision-making as a QB? He is who he is - he's been playing football his way since he was a child. It made him a superstar with a fanatical following in college, but it won't give him long-term success in the NFL. He won't cut it as a full-time WR/TE/RB, either.
I wonder if Tebow can put his money where his mouth is and really be okay as a niche player playing only a couple of downs a game, instead of as the star of the show. For all his showy "humility" the guy didn't do much to get his fans to get off of Kyle Orton's back - to the point that his fellow QBs in Denver actually fined him for not doing the honorable thing. Elway did the right thing ridding himself of Tebowmania.
Tebow is a nice guy, but some part of him obviously also really enjoys the attention. I wonder how this will shake out with Sanchez. It could work, and light a fire under Sanchez's behind. Or it could totally backfire and cause even more problems in the locker room. Tebowmaniacs could buy a billboard in Times Square the second Sanchez struggles in a game. Good luck with that, Rex Ryan.

In joining the Jets, Tebow becomes the highest-profile backup quarterback in the N.F.L. A Heisman Trophy winner at the University of Florida, he burnished his image last season by leading the Broncos to several last-minute victories during the regular season and an overtime win in the playoffs against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

A 1,000-pound cow being prepared for slaughter jumped a 6-foot fence and bolted through the streets of Pocatello before police shot and killed it following a lengthy pursuit.
Pocatello Police Chief Scott Marchand tells the Idaho State Journal (
bit.ly/1DtMaME
) that his officers fired two shots at the heifer because it posed a safety risk.
The cow had escaped from Anderson Custom Pack, a meat processing business, on Friday afternoon.
Early in the chase, an officer shot the cow in the head but the wounded animal kept running.
The cow led police and animal control officers on a chase on foot and in vehicles through the city's north side. It rammed an animal control truck and two police cars.
The animal was eventually cornered in a residential backyard about 3 miles away, and was shot and killed by a police officer.
