To ansah dat more story:
Hamilton is heavilly indistrial and even in the west end..Dundas..where I live at times it can get pretty stink, with oxygen at a premium which is very uncomfortable for an allergy sufferer like me.
so one Wednesday in July past here when the it got a bit colder and the clouds rolled in off Lake ontario, sealing in the pollution it got so uncomfortable for me. I got into my car, and went looking for some fresh air. I rolled through Brantford, picked up Veterans parkway and headed south towards the city of London Ontario. I got as far as Woodstock an hour later before I gave up and turned around. why?
well I had been rolling through vast and consistent agricultural fields..Corn... Tobacco in that region is very strong..soy beans and ripened wheat... when I realised that the air quality was in fact worse than it was in Dundas. the air was in fact stink with chemicals, thick with it. but I was stymied by that fact that had been riding me at the back of my mind all along. it is July why had the chemical in-puts not dissipated yet, leaving the air smelling better?
the soy beans were high and no grass could trouble them again. the corm were getting ready to sprout ears. the wheat was almost ready to be harvested and the Tobacco was ready for cutting. by the time I got to Woodstock what I had been doing relative to GMO kicked in and I realised why the air was still thinks with chemicals. it was the new chemical used, that is married to the production those crops..GLYPHOSATE.. that is the problem.
glyphosate is a murderous, dangerous killer pesticide/weedicide that does not go quietly as the previous brief but deadly ones did. Glyphosate sticks around for a long, long time, doing its disastrous work on all life it touches. it is libearlly used and it is reputed among other deadly effects to destroy the human reproductive system. and by the time I was passing through it had been sprayed for at least 2 months and it was still there. it must be impossible to live close-by when the land is sprayed with that chemical. yet dotted through that region is small town after small town, and lost of houses by themselves along the way.
in the town of Burford which I know well the corm comes right up around the school where children go every day. indeed as you drive through children are evident everywhere, playing merrily in the mess that they will become conscious of at later times with caners and reproductive problems.
but Captain this agricultural production knitted up all the towns along the way. the towns are in the agriculture, vast lengths of such growth, and chemical use that had turned the air into a noxious mess, reduced its oxygen content to a minimum.
that situation is possible Captain because all the land is not AGRI-BUSINESS land. there are almost no more individual farmers on the land. the land has been taken over by the corporations and they have developed an agricultural production process that destroys all in its path. the Ontario countryside is now a chemicalized environment during the spring and summer. if a breath of reasonable air is to breathed one must go very far indeed, into the wild province to get that if it exists at all.
its really hard to farm land and make a profit now Captain. that's why farmers have left the land, given it all up to agri-corporations. and then there is the law that keeps changing to make it next to impossible for ordinary people to far. do you know that increasingly you cant even grow a vegetable patch on your own land, in your own back yard any more?
so your idea of growing the land and getting rich no longer applies, is of no validity in the current scheme of things. the market for small farms has been destroyed by law..there is a market because people want what small farms produce-good clean food..but the powers that be have shut that down. eat GMO or starve.
you might be able to buy land and build a house. but of you grow a garden on they will come in and charge you for doing that...and probably take your house away too if you are found guilty of criminal act.

Steve Jobs stated several times publicly that he was inspired by one of Gretzky's mottoes: "You miss ever shot you don't take".
