Be happy today, because today's the day you're living now... whatever happened in the past can't be changed... what will happen in the future we don't know. But we do know that we're here today and we have to be grateful. So Smile and enjoy life, have a very wonderful, happy and blessed day

The magical age 65 that signaled retirement time for our parents might not hold true for the baby boomer generation. Sure the idea is appealing to call it quits before we are too old to appreciate and enjoy our second act. But the reality may be that 65 is just too young to retire. Some 76 percent of employees say they will continue working past retirement age, with 40 percent working because they want to and 35 percent because they will have to, according to a 2013 Gallup survey. Here's when it might make sense to delay retirement past age 65:
When you still have a job. If you are currently employed, still able to effectively perform your duties and the job itself is not driving you crazy, it can make sense to stay at it for a while more. The longer you can delay taking Social Security, the more your monthly checks will ultimately be. For each year beyond your full retirement age that you delay collecting Social Security benefits up to a maximum of age 70, you will receive an additional 8 percent. You can also delay the time when you will become 100 percent responsible for your own health insurance premiums as long as your employer is picking up part of the tab. Finally, should you leave your job beyond the age of 50 either by choice or for reasons beyond your control, there is no guarantee you will quickly find another. Since 2007, job seekers over 55 have consistently experienced longer durations of unemployment than younger workers. For many people it makes sense not to give up a decent job before it is absolutely necessary.

To the undoubted chagrin of President Putin, Edward Snowden arrived for his asylum in Moscow empty-handed. The NSA leaker says he gave away all his classified documents to journalists in Hong Kong, and didn't take any secret files to Russia when he departed "because it wouldn't serve the public interest." He assured that the Chinese government was similarly devoid of documents because, despite U.S. allegations, his knowledge of China's intelligence capacity allowed him to protect his documents from spies. “There’s a zero percent chance the Russians or Chinese have received any documents,†he said. The elusive Snowden also explained his reasons for becoming a whistle-blower, saying that, “The secret continuance of these programs represents a far greater danger than their disclosure.â€

A man takes his place in the theater, but his seat is too far from the stage.
He whispers to the usher, "This is a mystery, and I have to watch a mystery close up. Get me a better seat, and I'll give you a handsome tip."
The usher moves him into the second row, and the man hands the usher a quarter.
The usher looks at the quarter, leans over and whispers, "The wife did it."

Deal would resolve several probes
The deal includes a $4 billion settlement over allegations that JPMorgan Chase misled Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac when it sold them home loans, many of which soured ahead of the 2008 financial crisis.

A fire in Brazil's largest port has burnt some 180,000 tonnes of raw sugar, damaging six warehouses and pushing international prices to a one-year high.
The authorities in the port of Santos said it took six hours to bring the fire under control.
The cause of the blaze is still being investigated.
Brazil is the world's main sugar exporter, accounting for nearly half of international sales.
The terminal affected by the fire belongs to Brazilian sugar giant Copersucar.
Four other sugar terminals are operating normally, port authorities said.
Analysts say Brazil has enough port capacity to carry on with its usual export levels.

Talk about a ticking time bomb. Former Vice President Dick Cheney told 60 Minutes, in an interview to be broadcast on Sunday, that he disabled his defibrillator's wireless function out of fear that terrorists might send his heart a fatal shock. "I was aware of the danger...that existed...I found it credible," Cheney says. "I know from the experience we had and the necessity for adjusting my own device, that it was an accurate portrayal of what was possible." He also reveals that he saw an episode of Homeland several years later where that very terrorist plot was used. Cheney suffered five heart attacks and underwent a quadruple bypass operation, but insists that the stresses of being vice president did not contribute to his health woes.
