tips are hard to give. if you bet and loose I get blame.
I can give yo tips on how to learn to bet..how to read the information and where to get it to prepare yuhself to bet. But I cant give you tips on betting or on which horse to bet in any race.
its a tuff game. that's a tip! you cant bet every race. that's a loose loose proposition. you have to see the races at a track you like offered on a race day..go through the 8, 10 or 12 races they offer on the day and pick the 1, 2 or 3 you think you can beat.
then you spend time understanding those races, constructing a bet and putting put out the money you believe will ensure your win and bring a return that is worth your time.
I bet win/place on low odds horses I have calculated will win the race..and put our a bigger outlay. I bet win, place and show on horse of long odds I calculate will win. the horse will likely show at least and at long odds you will get your money back for the bet if it shows only
there is tax placed on the betting pools at the races. it is lowest at 15% at most tracts on win place and show bets.
when you get to exactas and trifectors the 'take out' or tax is up to 30 plus cents on the dollar bet by the punters. that's awful. I don't bet exactors and trifectrors because of that tax
it is around the same % tax on superfectas but I bet those when I have a shot. they can cost from minimum from 10 cents a bet to 1 dollar depending on the track and the kinds of bets they offer. these bets can pay huge amounts of money. and most times they pay very well indeed..well worth the risk. but you must understand the race and the bet..and work out the best configuration and its cost before you bet.
another type of bet that may be worth a shot would be pick 6 and pick 8 combinations..in which you predict the outcome of 6, 8 or all the races run on a day at the track in question. if you can do that there is a huge pot of gold at the end of the days rainbow
but working these things out is not easy. you have to know what you doing. you can pay people to teach you... or to work with you to do it while you learn. it is best to learn on your own but it takes time and focus. there is an awful lot to learn about horse racing. indeed one never finishes learning about horse racing.
