I've also seen this before ... years ago
What is fascinating is the life story of Stan Brock, the young British cowboy turned TV presenter, actor, philanthropist.
His father was a civil servant/telephone engineer who went to British Guiana in the colonial days. Stan dropped out of school in England and followed his parents to BG where he got a job at Dadanawa Ranch as a 'vaquero' and learned the local Amerindian dialect.....

From what I can remember ..... back then there were two large ranches in that area. One was owned by the Hart family and the other by Tiny McTurk whose daughters were friendly with my Mom. The name Melville family also rings a bell.
Perhaps Mes can help me out here.
I'll do a search and see if I find anything when I've got a moment .....
