Ugh! I read the comments and some of them disgust me. As much disgust I have in me, I'm not surprise by the reasoning given by individuals to violate and even murder someone after they have been raped. I say this because I read about it all the time here in my country of America. Although cases of rape tend to be taken far more seriously here and not pushed aside to victim blaming, there have been recent upheaval on college campuses and in the US Army regarding assaults against women follow by lenient punishments to the perpetrators.
How is it that a woman is to blame for being raped? How can you point to images seen on television or the way a woman is dress as viable evidence that "she had it coming?" I don't care if a woman is walking down the street naked. This doesn't give anyone the right to take advantage of her body. How about we neglect all lame excuses and address the issue of some men's lack of respect for the female body. Lest look at the laws in certain parts of the world that give men a peace of mind at knowing there's a possibility legislation will work in his favor if he rapes and even kills a woman. Lest start truly looking at the imbalance nature of power in some of these countries and address them in totality.

Trust me,it is not about that.In some parts of india, there are men who are not cultured. It's disgusting, there are no protection for girls.I have many close girl-friends and they sometimes share these. They say,"don't they have the option of wearing those dresses".The country is shifting to westernization and why shouldn't their dresses be..??
The earlier government was crappy and didn't take much notice of this. Now that there has been a shift,i hope better tings happen in India.
