Miami Heat president Pat Riley is going to have to fight if he wants to keep LeBron James. On Tuesdays, James’ agent, Rich Paul, announced that the four-time NBA MVP has decided to exercise his early opt out and become an unrestricted free agent. This doesn’t necessarily mean he’s leaving the Heat, but as of July 1, he can play the field. If James had stayed with his current deal, he would have made $20 million next season and had $42.7 million coming his way over the next two years. Riley may up the ante to keep James. The Heat have made the NBA finals four times in his four seasons with them, and they have won the championship twice.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

big sooprise eh!
it was the only sensible thing to do...become unrestricted and go elsewhere.
that Miami gig for the big 3 is now exhausted. it is time to move on. Bosh too. I hope he comes back to Toronto

Dwayne is on his last sinews in his knees. he is a shadow of himself due t poor knees. he can only get worse.
the big 3 is an exhausted project now. its time for the Heat to rebuild and for Bosh and LeBron to head elsewhere.
LeBron is gone but Bosh loves Miami and does not want to leave. he will be forced to given the state of Dwayne ..if he wants to win again
Bring him back to TO Masai!

If Pat Riley is SMART, he better fight like crazy to keep LeBron. There is no denying LeBron is a powerful player and in my opinion the best player in the NBA right now. He can literally dominate an entire game and play a whole team by himself. Actually, he did that this past NBA season as the rest of the Heat were window dressing. LeBron is not only a strong player physically, but he's incredibly smart in maneuvering certain plays and finding weaknesses in his opponents and their on court strategies. Hahahaha. That's the fan in me talking, but I feel LeBron worked way too hard this season with a team who only got to the NBA finals because of all of his hard work. Pat may be angry, but I admire the fact LeBron is a business man and it is not all about the money with him - unlike other players.

the problem in Miami is this: all are free agents...ALL save Dwayne.
Riley must resign Bosh and LeBron who cant afford to take pay cuts any more. they are thirty (30) about to make their last best contracts. how is Riley going to re-sign 14 players 12 or whom must be good enough to support Lebron and Bosh to titles ::confused::
and actually it is not 12 but 10 because Shane Battier is done..retired. and that Anderson weirdo guy with the paint all over his body is also done from an ability standpoint. he was good for a few years but is burnt out now. so Riley must assemble once again bits and pieces from the draft good enough to win..and at low cost. he cant go over the salary cap for a fifth straight year or the tax becomes really onerous.
I dont see that Miami has any sensible choice but to keep wade to whom they are indebted and contracted but rebuild otherwise in the proper way. so Miami should really go down for about 3 years before they start get their house in order again.
actually James is doing them a favour by getting out so they can rebuild and get under he salary cap for the first time in a while. that is why I expect Bosh to leave as well. it makes no sense beating a dead horse. only Bosh and James remain fit and capable. Wade is done as an elite player.
it is over man! done! finished! both Bosh and James must go heir own ways now. there are quite a few opportunities for these guys to get with teams who will contend next season and or go all the way with their arrival on the scene..and where they can get the money they command as elite players.
its A business. time for this pay cut nonsense to cease and stop

They cant afford to lose Lebron James in my opinion. He is to good of a player just to let go. Imagine the amount of money he makes for the club. So many people buy shirts just for his name appeal. From a sporting and shirt sale point of view, it would be a massive miss if he actually does leave the club.

deh have little choice in the matter. deh would barely be able to come up with the money. and if they do spend it all on James who will he play with ::confused::
they had their fours years. the heat rolled, bathed in the loot James, Bosh and Wade took a collective pay cut to get them championships. the heat is rich now beyond their dreams but there is a SALARY CAP!
SO NO MORE PAY CUTS! WHAT THE HELL THE PLAYERS IN THIS FOR TO ENRICH THE CLUBS OR THEMSELVES ::confused:: WHY DID THEY TAKE A PAY CUT IN THE FIRST PLACE FOR AFTER YEARS OF LABOUR DISPUTES FOR FREE AGENCY AND FAIR PAY SCHEDULES ETC ::confused::
WHAT wADE, bOSH AND jAMES DID UNDERCUT THEIR OWN POSITION AS LABOUR IN AN EXPLOITATIVE RELATIONSHIP WITH MANAGEMENT. THEY COLLUDED WITH MANAGEMENT TO DEFEAT THEIR OWN BEST COLLECTIVE INTEREST. THEY LEFT MILLIONS ON THE TABLE. TO STAY IN MIAMI NOW WOULD LEAVE EVEN MORE TENS OF MILLIONS ON THE TABLE
AND IF CARMELO aNTHONY WENT THERE THEY WOULD COLLECTIVELY LEAVE ABOUT 100 MILLION ON THE TABLE FOR THE HEAT, TAKING PAY CUTS. THEY WOULD WIN CHAMPIONSHIPS, MAKE THE HEAT EVEN RICHER. BUT THE HEAT WOULD BE PREVENTED FROM GIVING IT BACK TO THEM IN ANY WAY AT ALL DUE TO THE SALARY CAP. ANYTHING OUTSIDE DIRECT CONTRACTED SALARY WOULD BE ILLEGAL AND AGAINST NBA RULES
so this pay cuts business is insane and a boon for the clubs. which is why all the news networks which are owned by the big owners keep pushing taking pay cuts as ways to win championships.
SO DONT YOU SEE HOW STUPID IT IS..TAKING PAY CUTS ::confused::
I hope this is the end of it..that James and Bosh smarten up and move on to better teams now and their real pay levels. Piss on Pat Riley! Dwayne Wade has a good contract that will pay him 40+ million over the next 2 years unless he agrees to a buy out.
the have their rings now. it is time to stop the nonsense and move on. they will sell jerseys and shoes where ever they play. it is not their business to make the clubs rich by turning back all the years of labour struggle with stupid deals like this one with Miami
