West Indians planted and celebrated bountiful reaping of Crops .


Crop over is a famous Barbados festival and carnival  ;)

Its origins can be traced back to the 1780's, a time when Barbados was the world's largest producer of sugar.

Likewise in the rest of the West Indies............ ;)
