FRANCONIA, Pa. — A worker at a suburban Philadelphia meat rendering plant has been charged with fatally stabbing a colleague a day after the co-worker yanked a chair out from under him as a prank.
Authorities said Thursday that 32-year-old Peter Atem killed 25-year-old Danny Vazquez on Wednesday at the MOPAC plant in Franconia Township.
Vazquez was killed one day after pulling a chair out from under Atem. Authorities say witnesses saw Atem stab the victim.
Police say they found Atem hiding in a shed with self-inflicted stab wounds, along with a note that said, "See you in hell. Life for life."
Atem underwent surgery and remains hospitalized. He's been charged with first-degree murder.
It's not clear whether he has an attorney.

Pulling the chair out from under someone is a cruel act and people do get hurt. He looks like a big man and with everyone laughing and having fun at his expense this could have put him over the edge. I'm not condoning his actions but the circumstances may have just been too much for him. We never know what the other persons story of life is.

Additionally, in the Demerara Block, CGX has concluded 3D seismic survey and the data continues to be processed and a timeframe for delivery is to be scheduled. In the Berbice Block, ON Energy Inc. has completed an airborne geophysical survey and the data is being processed, Minister Persaud highlighted
