I found out this really strange band while browsing on the interwebs. They make silly music, but it has a good rhythm and sometimes when I listen to it it just completely takes me with it. I would recommend listening to masterpieces like Ievan Polkka. It really pumps me up. Does anyone else have experience with this country band?

In a gruesome incident, a man allegedly hacked his wife to death today and walked to the police station at nearby Pollachi with the severed head, police said.
The accused, Chinnapparaj (49), was an agricultural labourer and he had frequent quarrels with his 40-year-old wife over her illicit relationship with a local man since the last few months, police said.
Despite her husband's warning, the woman continued her relationship.
Chinnapparaj found his wife missing from the house last night and surmising that she was with her paramour, waited with a sickle, chased and killed her as she was returning home about 8.30 AM today, police said.
He severed the head and walked with it for a distance of one-and-a-half km to Vadakkipalayam station in full view of panic-stricken people, and surrendered, police said.

A 23-year-old barber was brought to the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts on Monday for slapping his girlfriend.
Troy Daniels, of 348 North East La Penitence, allegedly slapped his girlfriend at their home on Sunday, April 26, as he believed that she had stolen his money. He was charged with unlawful assault.  Police Prosecutor Bharat Mangru told the court that the defendant and the Virtual Complainant (VC), Julia Narine share a child. He said Daniels accused the VC of stealing $1600 when he came home on Sunday. Mangru stated that the VC denied that she took the money and the defendant responded by slapping her across her face.  The VC immediately left the home and reported the matter to the Police Station.  Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry, who presided over the matter, gave the defendant a chance to speak. He stated that he suspected that the child that Narine had may not be his, because the doctor stated that the baby was conceived 38 weeks ago and they have only been together for 28 weeks.
On the day in question, Daniels told the court that he came home after sporting a bit and he put the $1600 aside in his pocket as it was his rent money. Daniels said he took off his clothes, hung them up and left to go to the bathroom. When he came back, he stated that he looked for the money and did not find it; thus, he asked Narine but she denied taking it. He stated that this got him upset and he did hit her.  Chief Magistrate Sewnarine-Beharry told the defendant that he would need to go to counselling at Help and Shelter, adding that he would continue coming to court, so the authorities can check on his progress.
She released him on self-bail.
