Former Member of Parliament, Dr. Veerasammy Ramayya has quit the Alliance for Change (AFC) charging that Berbicians are not adequately represented in the coalition government that it is a part of.
The announcement was made last evening to Stabroek News via telephone and will be seen as a blow to the AFC as Ramayya had been a key member for years and represented it in the 10th Parliament.
According to Ramayya, he was offered an assistant position in either the Ministry of Agriculture
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

The AFC is impotent within the coalition, and it is losing key party foot soldiers. A sign of things to come??

Messrs Ramjattan and Nagamootoo, please do not underestimate the confidence people placed in the AFC; please do not undervalue the party, by putting your personal concerns ahead of nation and the expectations of party supporters.
