Governor Jerry Brown approved an end-of-life measure allowing physicians to prescribe lethal doses of drugs to quicken the deaths of terminally ill patients Monday. Brown, a former Jesuit seminary student, had difficulty with approving the assisted suicide law saying he had to “reflect on what I would want in the face of my own death." California is now the fifth state to permit assisted suicide, following Vermont, Oregon, Montana, and Washington.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

Now this is debatable! Assisted suicide? Wasn't suicide suppose to be a big NO! NO!. Does anyone believe in a time for everything, including death? I mean I can understand a person's suffering but who will decide that there is nothing else good to happen? Or is this law only for old timers who are not needed anymore and no one has the time to fuss over them!

I prefer suicide than homicide. If they want to kill themselves then great. Don't hurt anyone else. Who decides when is the right time for anything? We don't decide who kills us when/where, so if we can exit by our means, on our own terms, then I say more power to us!

Having seen my father in a long term care facility for 4 years :
and meeting fellow Guyanese , this Prabhu fella struck and saddened me.
Diabetes got both his legs amputated and totally Blind.
On dialysis three times per week for a failing kidney.
I asked him once and he told me he would love to leave this world.

Is he willing to leave the world? Sickness tests character more than anything else that I know.
