You better don't have an issue with that because you will be put in the dog house forever!!
...and yes, it is mandatory - no other reason. My husband saw the sari and said "you buy new sari" and I said, "that's how much you notice me - I had this sari for years" ::rofl:: . Of course that was totally untrue and he knows better!! The good thing about him is that he always likes to see me dress well and hence I take advantage of the situation but within my limits!! ::rofl:: He never prevents me from getting what I want and that's a damn blessing!! You see my dear Kwami, when you marry, you have to maintain/upkeep the lifestyle of the woman that she was accustomed to before marriage. That's my policy and I stick to it!! It has been 26 years of marriage!

Just received this from my cousin - wedding speech by Michel: So very nice!!
Today has been such a great day and I've really enjoyed watching Tina and Jan wedding celebration – This great event made me thinking about why so many men want to be married. My conclusion is that:
Every man needs a wife because things sometimes go wrong that you can not blame on the government!
On behalf of Nani, the grandmother of Christina, Pam and myself, I want to thank everyone for attending the wedding, some coming from very far away.
Being a stepfather, I have missed the childhood of Tina but Pam told me that she was a very loving little girl, shy sometimes but always making sure that her siblings are first served at the dinner table. She was so cute that one day an older friend of Sean mistook her for a doll on the sofa and got scared when she starting moving. She then started crying and complained to Pam that this friend called her a doll.
It is an honour to welcome Jan as our very first son-in law to our 6-kid (big) family. We were first impressed by his kindness and family love. Since we have been very happy watching Tina and Jan’s relationship develop over time. Meeting with Jan’s family members was an important event for us and we are now very pleased to have them as part of our family.
Tina and Jan, you have a promising future. We wish you happiness, success and future grandchildren that will make our retirement life so happy.
I am not the right person to give you marriage advice but I do agree with Pam that marriage is like wine, it gets better with age.
Now on that note, I will end my speech today. Would you all please join me in wishing Tina and Jan all the best. To Tina and Jan!
