Wouldn't it be better to take the money out of politics? I mean, why is it that people are angry with "regular" politicians? Because irrespective of parties, laws have been made favoring the super rich and big businesses. Why? Because they are the ones who fund campaigns.
Fundraising is something that NGOs should be doing and even they should be made accountable for each and every penny spent. Its not something that electable candidates should do.

that does not make a fundamental social change that establishes the popular interest as safe and secure...jobs for everyone, social infrastructure that reflects the needs of the people: ends economic exploitation, racism and all other social schisms that are the product of class society..and will remain in place dividing up and screwing society, as long as society is organized from the top down.
class society has to be ended for society to progress. changing how politics are funded, redressing the way political parties are organized, killing one or two, to be replaced by newer others is also no never mind. political parties would remain vested interests that does not produce any wealth at all by their activity and existenc, and needs to tax the people to pay themselves.
that is why political parties and the rich are in league, always a tandem working against the people, against the popular interest. the popular interest is the interest that works in society to produce the wealth that all the parasites feed off.
both groups need the people to work in the way they are told to work, for goals set by this 'elite'... for wages set by them as well. and also in conditions set by them, whether workers are killed, made sick etc in the process.
if you want change then change the base of society..who has the power to make the rules and own the means of production. if it is the minority rich and bureaucratic, than you have the society we have. if you want different, better..then take that power away from the minority who hold it now and give it to the people.
rather the people can/must rise up and take the power themselves..which is the best way for the power to change hands... tossing the rich and the bureaucratic by the wayside, to work for a living like everybody else, in the general work of society to keep itself going and advancing

why would you want to destroy the GOP?
its good to have an opposition that keeps the other party on their toes.

I think we are long past this stage here. we have had a long experience of electoral politics and know what the process gives.
the system that produced them is now done, exhausted and society must evolve to survive. the political party in its most progressive form is now useless. but no political party anywhere represents the best form of that 'thing' the political party.. any longer. they cant... for in the failure of capitalism we must all take our respective side.
therefore the political parties all now reflect the extreme interest of the rich..all of them.
that is what brought them to the party and without which systematically, they cant survive. so no political party can be considered opposition anymore. they are not. they have all become one giant rich mans political party no matter their name and so called ideology.
take a look at Europe and financial collapse; there are parties on the left the people turn to..parties that sing out opposition to financial austerity and nationalism and against the rape of the country by forrin interests like Goldman Sachs.
so the people have voted in these left OPPOSITION parties in every case....AND IN EVERY CASE THE PEOPLE HAVE BEEN BETRAYED BY THESE SO-CALLED OPPOSITIONS, WHO HAVE GONE WITH THE FORRIN BANKERS AND NATIONAL FINANCIAL ELITES...AGAINST THE PEOPLE.
so in the end there is no opposition political party...only the vested political interest. and that vested interest for the political party..ALL OF THEM... is to get paid and to keep their social position at the top of the social heap... and this depends on taxing the worker and keeping them down.
so the worker must know his place and stay there. and the real job of ALL the political parties is to keep them there
