Well, she's really beautiful. She's a veteran now, there's a whole new breed of actors who have come in now. Its strange to be surprised by the modernity of Indian women. Indian women have been always been "modern". It seems the only country that has not "modernized" when it comes to women is the US 
That's why someone like Hillary Clinton can claim the throne for herself. How's women's rights even an issue in the 21st century and that too in the US?
Indian women led the country 60-70 years ago (Indira Gandhi, Sarojini Naidu, and innumerable others), became corporate heads 50 years ago(Innumerable), and today have literally conquered space(Kalpana Chawla-ISRO,NASA), tech(millions), art(miss uni, world, holly flolly all woods,blahblah), military(including fighter pilots) and global corporations (Indra Nooyi-Pepsico CEO and hundreds more). Maternity leaves are not a discussion topic here, they are a right. Girls get free education and women are heavily protected by law, so much so that even a gawker gets put behind bars.
When a single woman is harassed or raped in India, the country rises up in anger and something actually gets done. Justice is served. India has one of the lowest per capita rape stat in the world!
Compare that to the US, where each year 20000-30000 women get raped in the US mlitary alone. 23% of women get raped in colleges and university. 80 of the top universities are even facing a federal investigation because of the way they handled complaints.
And yet, where are the people? Where is the anger? And where is justice? Most victims are discharged from the military without reason and silenced by university committees.
It may seem a nice ploy to post news about a rape in India, but statistics will tell you that the most rapes happen in the US and UK. Countries whose media has repeatedly tried to malign a country where people actually raise their voice and women are the ones in positions of power.
