phuck this guy!! he is an idiot, looking to make a name off ali in his death as others made names off when he was alive.
what makes a hero ::confused:: ::confused:: ::confused:: we call people hero not because they are perfect but because they are imperfect as we all but because they have done great things, correct things, accurate and challenging though needed things, relative to the general social life...to life they have lived..or had to live, even when their very lives and well being, their freedom, was on the line
that Ali was used by his own people is not news. that was his program anyway. if he could he alone would have solved all Black peoples problems. he was not used as much as he gave his all to the cause
Larry Holmes and Don King are opportunistic dogs. that Holmes stands today is due to Ali. he did not have to beat Ali as badly as he did in their fight. Holmes should not have fought Ali at all. that Holmes agreed to fight and destroy Ali when he knew Ali was old and helpless against his skill, was absolutely monstrous and depraved opportunism.
and today, now after Ali's death Holmes is doing interviews all over the place full of hypocrite word for Ali
Listen up! I have never seen a great man who is not surrounded by opportunists! look at great men, the centre of attention, doing great things in whatever area of life. that is exactly where the opportunist will flock and behave like the most decent and loyal people yet they are there only for their own interests.
who killed Martin Luther King ::confused:: it turns out that almost all the people around King were suborned by the FBI in his murder. there are only 2 men not yet proved to have been part of the plot..Andrew Young and Joseph Lowery. all the rest actually manuovered King onto the balcony of the Lorraine Motel, and moved out of the way so the assassin could get a clear shot. so slipped-up Reverend Billy Kiles years later, in open and public speech..as if god forced him to confess despite his guilty self.
just about everybody around Ali were using him. what should Ali do, to whom could he have turned for sincerity and honest commiseration ::confused::
no one that's whom. and that is also why Ali is hero...because he survived and lived on. he survived all the use and abuse from humanity..all of humanity around him regardless of skin color. they all used him up...ALL OF THEM
Ali did not have to be perfect to be hero. the nasty nature of life defines heroism, makes it a factor of life...for most people are users of each other, nasty, criminal, exploitative etc., Ali too was human but did less of that sort of thing than those who leeched onto him.
Ali was wrong finally to abuse Joe Frazier. I hope Ali and Frazier reconciled their differences that their rivalry gave rise to. they might have..I don't know. but that does not take away Ali's heroism.
but this article is a jackass conception of Ali's heroism..not a debunking but an expose' of a jackass masquerading as a journo. whats his name again ::confused::
imagine that..I just read the article and I cant even remember the skunt's name. it just would not stick..which is not normal with me when I read something. I always remember the author..when he writes something worthwhile. that is the problem then. he is talking shiite nothing worth remembering.

the slave nature of the name Marcellus Cassius Clay does not change because that name was attached to an abolitionist.
systematically the real names of slaves were taken away for the purposes of exploitation and pacification..ole marse's name used as substitute to denote first and foremost ownership of the black person whose name was now surnamed with the owners name.
so whether he used him as a slave or not Cassius was named Cassius to denote ownership and control to identify him not as an african but relative in some subordinate way to Clay number #1.
