Elliott Spencer says Stephen Fry is the "love of his life".

The 27-year-old comedian tied the knot with the 57-year-old actor last month and admitted that despite their 30-year age gap, he couldn't be happier to have found the man he wants to spend the rest of his life with.

He said: "I don't care what people think, Stephen is the love of my life, the light of my life.

"I'm just really happy and enjoying being married. It's all been really exciting and new. I'm not really doing anything else."

Elliott - who met Stephen at a house party three years ago before getting engaged and married earlier this year - admits their mutual love of comedy saw them hit it off as soon as they met.

He added to the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Humor is the binding thing in our life. I think that's what brought us together."

The writer also confessed they've already learnt to compromise, as Elliott enjoys nights out with his husband's younger sister and agent Jo Foster.

Speaking at Harvey Weinstein's BAFTAs after-party, he added: "I've stayed out partying with his sister Jo. She's amazing. We've got a great balance like that, he does his thing. I do mine."

Meanwhile, the new couple are said to be thrilled with the reception they've received from their friends and family.

Elliott told The Sun newspaper: "I am aware of what's been said, but all that matters is how much we love each other. We really do - and we're happy.
