I am pleased to do nothing at all today save that which is necessary, peaceful with universalist intent..in respect of one of the very greatest of human beings ever to have lived.
it is to my good luck for my life to have coincided with his to the extent that it did. one major human being who has not left the human world worse off than he met it.
I am not unhappy over this event..just forlorn and lonely. a bit teary but normal. the world is as it should be given all that has happened. and death is life. peace be upon him

Like him or hate him no one can deny that he was larger than life and that he survived numerous attempts on his life making him a legendary figure. And many developing nations owe him debts of gratitude for the assistance provided by Cuba under is watch,

He fought for what he believed in . He stood up to America and survived .
So many third world countries were helped when others looked away .
You fought , finally, America recognizes you for what you were .
The President will come at your funeral. RIP Comrade

I believe he stood firmly on what he believed on best known to him.
Going by the acclaimed way he was of help to developing nations even when other heavy weights didn't show much concern is a big plus.

t Caribbean development. We should make no mistake about it - he gave small countries a voice and created the space for Caribbean and many other developing countries to resist bullying in international relations. The columns and obituaries will be mixed - vitriol from those whose interests he did not serve and ambrosia from those whose welfare he defended. That is always the case with controversial persons of history. But he was a Caribbean champion and the region owes him respect, admiration and gratitude.
