Aaron Hernandez, the former New England Patriots tight end who committed suicide in April while serving a life sentence for murder, was found to have a severe form of C.T.E., the degenerative brain disease linked to repeated head trauma that has been found in more than 100 former N.F.L. players.
A lawyer for Hernandez, Jose Baez, in announcing the result at a news conference Thursday, said researchers determined it was “the most severe case they had ever seen in someone of Aaron’s age,†which was 27.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

aaaaaahhh. the first thing about this issue that makes sense. I never thought of CTE but I shudda. the whole thing now makes sense.
look here! I love NFL football but it is a brutal game they should stop playing. I will soon boycott the game..no more fantasy and pro line point spread. some 5 college students dead this year alone from playing the bloody game.
I wud like to see them find a way to play the game eliminating the extreme murderous physicality. but as it stands they might as well play to the death for all the destruction it is causing to players at all levels of the game
mek dem play touch football professionally. current football is uncivilized

So....it's now ok to plan a murder as long as you played football. It's really hard to take responsibility for your actions anymore.

a few years back there was this beloved retired Hispanic football great, who in his forties was in a constant state of erratic behavior, doing weird things, in contact with the police, tormented. then he blew himself away.
how do you explain that David ::confused::
he had money, fame, good looks, and apparent good health. but his brains were rotting away and he became a demon until he could stand it no more.
there was a Green Bay Packer great by the name of White...I cant quite put my hands on his first name at the moment. he wont a super bowl with Brett Farves Green Bay team. he just up and died at 44.
if you look around the NFL David you will see tons of this. and if you are looking and have an idea how this society works you soon realize that the NFL/media are hiding a serious NFL football reality...the murderous physical and emotional toll the game exacts on the players
this is not the first time I have talked like this about NFL football here. I have said before the game should be banned in my opinion..that I told my 6 foot 2 son 'no football at high school and university' as he was being encouraged.. or he is on his own.
so based on what I have seen myself the actions, the behavior of Hernandez is clear now that CTE has been proved.
Hernandez is dead and no one involved, especially the doctors have anything to gain by saying what they found. in fact the NFL wud prolly have given them millions to hide what they found.
and now that they have come down on the side of truth they might even have career problems, from those who stand to lose if football comes under added pressure to change..or there is a rise in public pressure to rigorously reorganize the game to minimize player injury
Hernandez was a young man of high ability, tall, good looks, rich..and he was involved in inexplicable behavior that such people always want to stay far from, because they have whole lives to live now at high material level. they have lots of money. most guys like that stay away from trouble, not go look for it
nah man. CTE makes it all clear to me. I have been following this long enough to know and recognize immediately the plausibility of CTE as the source of Hernandez's dysfunction

Better Jerry Reese and his crap team drive you away than a case of CTE of your very own
