actually the new physics is now embracing meta physics with new discoveries in Quanta

A US experiment has confirmed previous findings that hinted at new phenomena outside our understanding of physics.

The results show that certain matter particles decay differently from their antimatter counterparts.


Such differences could potentially help explain why there is so much more matter in the cosmos than antimatter...

Physicists think the intense heat of the Big Bang should have forged equal amounts of matter and its "mirror image" antimatter.

Yet today we live in a Universe composed overwhelmingly of matter.

Antimatter is relatively uncommon, being produced at particle accelerators, in nuclear reactions or by cosmic rays.

Getting to the bottom of where all this antimatter went remains one of the great endeavours of particle physics.  :cool:

• Particle physics has an accepted definition for a "discovery": a five-sigma level of certainty

• The number of standard deviations, or sigmas, is a measure of how unlikely it is that an experimental result is simply down to chance rather than a real effect

• Similarly, tossing a coin and getting a number of heads in a row may just be chance, rather than a sign of a "loaded" coin

• The "three sigma" level represents about the same likelihood of tossing more than eight heads in a row

• Five sigma, on the other hand, would correspond to tossing more than 20 in a row

• Unlikely results can occur if several experiments are being carried out at once - equivalent to several people flipping coins at the same time

• With independent confirmation by other experiments, five-sigma findings become accepted discoveries

Every concept about  the universe  be it string or plasma theory is just that , theory . Mankind is incapable of saying that they dont know . Some of the answers  lies in the Vedas

I believe as did Socrates we need to Define our Terms...

ok..I dont actually know wat yu talking about when yu say define terms...but I look at life this way.....

everything starts with nature, what exists outside of us, in us...who are as physical beings, matter etc.

in appraoahing it this way we 'discoved' electricity....when the thing existed in the universe, we being made up that way and all...

we have discoverd that all we have done with electricity, all we struglled to find out and use, exactly mimics what the universe had  been doing all along.

look any electrical grid anywhere that humans have created and there it is in the universe..naturally.  we could not do it if it was not there already, were.nt part of it and so had to do it to meet our own needs.

so we are ignorant and all we must do, use, discover, already exist, always existed.  we are in the process of finding out thats all. and we must find out in order to max out chances of survival 

and we look at it with great hubris..as if we are doing anything but finding out and trying to use in our efforts to survive.

yu see all the great brains, hawkins and all them chatting all kinds of s***e , celebrated as great brains and all dat. 

we worship einstein and look at what Thornhill says of him...he was an idiot and his theories make no sense.  and all who follow him end up more confused than ever

the universe is there for us to find out and see if we can suvive in  indefinetly. 

to accet things that way makes for a whole different and saner appraoah, a simple one indeed...and no worship of the intellect.. which is a tool we must use to effect our survival in simple  common sensl..or die in foolishness
