Food production is going to become the most important and profitable industry in this coming crisis after the collapse of world currencies. The farmer will become the new prosperous middle class and the academics will become the taxi drivers of metropolitan cities. The third world should take heed of this.
The way the Third World governments want to again approach- this new and necessary to survival- food drive is the same old  Western recommended way of massive privately owned farms complete with heavy farming machinery, artificial fertilizers,  petroleum based insecticides and Monsanto, barren, Frankenstein seeds. This will deplete the soil and poison the bees and natural insect populations while giving rise to super bugs.
There is another way. Small family and community farms using natural cycles of plant nutritional decay into the soil.
If an insect refuses to eat a natural plant or vegetable, why do us humans assume it is good for our health.
