It was criminal to see black and brown folks actively supporting and voting for Rob Ford in the last mayoral election. The general electorate seem to have no clue about the ideologies of the candidates they are voting for.
The NDP will only "bring down" the Libs if the Libs appoint a weak successor and loyal Liberal voters are forced to chose the alternative.

Ihave seen brown and black who were ardently left of the political spectrum and now that they got demselves some money has veered to the right . They have this naive belief that they will be accepted as equals

Yep. The "nouveau riche". Many of the wealthy folks in the Indian/Sikh community are now fervent Conservatives. But I actually saw many lower to middle class black and brown people supporting that red neck butterball Rob Ford. The stupidity of these folks is just mind boggling.

look nah..let them be worse..them right wing fellas. and when they are they get the street opposition going like its bubbling now relative to harper.
the people fight back you know, that's why this skunt McGuinty had to pack it in.
the point is that McGuinty had people going for a while..just like Obama have black people going in the states now.
but teflon wears off too

McGinty is gunning for the Federal Liberal leadership - hence the resignation. It's going to be a good battle between him and Justin Trudeau but I think the Libs will appoint Trudeau to get the Quebec votes.

We'll see. But I'm pretty sure he resigned to make a run for the Federal job.
