I am happy! I have lots of reasons to be. as usual I am misunderstood.
my happiness does not depend on anything around me. it is based on my level of understanding of life, of the problems we face and the possible positives in resolution of those problems.
and on such understanding I know Trinidad is not a happy country...and I am not attracted by results of stupid polls.
let the polls explain why such a happy country is riven by crime of the most disgusting quality..violent and murderous, disrespectful of victims to such a degree that murders are often signed-off by the most prejudicial shameful action on the victims body.
let the polls explain the running adversarial relationship between the Trinidad police and ordinary black Trinidadians......
let the polls explain embedded Trinidad racism and negative race relations that is indeed a thing of 'sophisticated beauty' in effort to capture the true nature of such racism...
poverty abounds in Trinidad despite oddles of oil money....
this is the state they call the fifth most happy. someone is trying to substitute good for bad and bad for good on we are they?

The thought of reinstating fired Justice Minister Herbert Volney has not crossed PM Kamla Persad-Bissessar's mind.

Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

A smile will return a thousand smiles...and a frown a thousand frowns.
The world as we see it is a reflection of ourselves...and when we project a problematic view, all that will be reflected will be misery.

The Global Competitiveness Report identified crime, government bureaucracy, a poor work ethic, and corruption as the four key issues that factored into the score. The Transparency International 2011 Corruption Perceptions Index ranked Trinidad & Tobago 91 out of 178 countries, a decline from the rank of 71 in 2010. The perception of corrupt government officials was the primary reason for the ratings drop.
