Trini ,
Firstly not sure upon what basis you make your points or are they purely speculation as to either the willingness or qualification for others to lead the Windies team.
Gayle tried and tested and an abject failure tactically.
Samuels is not liked by his Jamaican team mates, far too aloof and does not have the support of others from reports we learn from the press.
I am not sure why to think Roach would be a good captain, perhaps you can elucidate. You may well know better, but I am not aware of any leadership experience either at age group or regional level.
That said someone like Cook was not a Captain at Essex before becoming England captain although he did lead at age group level.
Bravo the elder is also a good candidate but the fact is
Ramdin has show the best tactical aptitude.
Would he fear better than Sammy?
Yes by his actions but perhaps not results as he does not have the talent.
However he can instil hard work, fight and determination and he has to continue leading from the front, much like McCullum has.
I think his tenure would be marred because he is not overall Captain. Ok T20 can go to someone else.
Pluses are that he is in the team on merit and the selectors can have a better balanced team subject to them using their heads.
Best wishes to Denesh as I have long, with others like MAPPIPPEE, championed his appointment.
Best wishes.

As far as Sarwan is concerned, it is clear he is finished and anyone thinking differently is not thinking logically.
Yes he has been treated badly for which he has been compensated but when given opportunities he has not produced.
It is sad that hie is not mentally strong to have overcome what was put his way as both Gayle and Tiger had similar treatment.
Yes we agree he was the natural captain but yes he got injured and as they say the rest is history.
He played a couple of games in the Caribbean contracted the influenza or something and he has not played since and now has a back problem.
There is nothing the selectors can do as he cannot be selected on merit.
Before his chastisement, his average was heading downwards for a long time and his issues are not new as Lara also dropped him.
Sadly a very talented man has come to the end of the line and it is not easy for a fan to admit but I deal in reality.

I'm totally with mail on this one. What's with all the talk about Sarwan? He's done. Even if he scrapes a few decent innings here or there, he's mostly done and dusted. I'd be happy to be proven wrong, but let's face up to the facts.
Yes IMO. Sammy out, Bravo in. Seems an easy enough solution to me.

Ramdin becoming captain shows you just how bad W.I's team is really.Pathetic !!..I am not blaming them but if none of them step up to a lead a side and make it at least a fraction glorious of what it was in the past, then i surely can state that Windies cricket is drifting to the wrong direction.

bala24,
What is your point?
Whether Windies are strong or weak, Ramdin is candidate for leadership based on his abilities and his track record through the ranks.
What really is your point?
The state of cricket in the region has noting to do with Ramdin.
