Ramdin's captaincy is the best thing to happen to WI cricket of late.  He will get better with time.  I hope he gets a strong voice in picking his team.  :P

* The captain is now involved in picking the final 11.

* The selectors made a wise move in dropping Samuels and Powell.

* If Ramdin were to win the NZ series, his stock will be soaring. :D

* The test for Ramdin and the WI will be the away series versus South Africa.

TIDBITS ON RAMDIN'S BATTING


* Ramdin(2340) needs 238 runs to surpass Ridley Jacobs(2577) as the 2nd highest runs scorer in tests by a designated WI wicketkeeper.

* Ramdin needs one more hundred to tie the 5 test hundreds scored by Jeff Dujon.

* Ramdin's current test average is 27.52---his goal is to raise his average above 30.
