* If Shiv keeps making the mental errors he made against NZ----all 4 dismissals were because of mental errors---he'll deserve to be sent packing.

* It is true that Shiv averaged 48.75 versus NZ----higher than Gayle, Bravo, and Edwards.

* BUT SHIV MUST ALWAYS BE JUDGED BY A HIGHER STANDARD.

* I believe Shiv will be pushed out versus England in the Caribbean next year.

He'll have 2 tests versus Bang; 3 tests vs SA and 3 tests versus Eng----that's 8 tests to score 586 runs to reach 12,000.

If he can't do that I'll be the first to say DROP HIM.

* By not playing in T20s and ODI's, Shiv is getting sufficient rest, so it's unlikely he'll be asked to sit out the Bang series.
