Australia opener David Warner is unlikely to bat in the second innings of the ongoing third Test against India at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), due a nasty blow that he suffered in the nets.
According to Fox Sports, Warner fought hard through pain to take part in the third Test, as he was carrying a thumb injury and despite that he remained adamant to play in the Melbourne Test.
Cricket Australia (CA) informed that Warner had bruises which did not allow him to take field at this stage, as Peter Siddle, the 12th man took the field in place of the left-handed opener. However, Warner may not need to go for scans but he will be monitored closely.
