First let me stick to the topic started by Goog Lee.
I think Australia stand a great chance of winning this cup at home. They failed to do so the last time it was held there.
They have a good all round side and if Clarke is fit it should make their chances even better.
I think India also have a good chance but their loss yesterday must raise some questions. I did not see the game and have not read the report.
So I pick Australia to win.

South Africa and Australia have the best teams, with New Zealand and West Indies being the dark horses.
India doesn't have a good bowling unit, and doesn't have a spectacular batting unit. But what they have is a solid, dependable unit which isn't prone to the big collapses. A freak collapse by Australia or South Africa can result in India stealing the show in some key games.
I can see Sri Lanka and Pakistan choking a lot.

Thanks to fat man Ranatunga.
Ah the 90s, when chubby cricketers were the greatest boundary hitters.
Ranatunga and Inzamam Ul Haq would eat Ravi Rampaul for breakfast.
