Cricket Team Selections

Why can't cricket be more like football and other sports where the coaches are the ones who selects the teams? I can understand outside entities being utilised such as scouts and such or maybe a committee that recommends players. But the coach should be the one to pick the side since he's charged with training them. What if he has a certain style of play that he wants to execute and has to hope and pray the selection panel chooses them instead of getting them himself

In the WI is not just the selectors, the WICB also pick players!!

Selection is different from the Disciplnary Committees !

except dat in cricket the coach is useless, pointless..does not fit the game the way it evolved.  head coach fits soccer and other highly professionalized and organized sports...hockey, basketball etc.  and even dem have selection dat is not entirely up to the head coach..far from it.

in fact, in American Major league sports there is a test called the GM who is the real selector...not the coach.  only in soccer is the coach/manager the main man in all departments

cricket has its own traditional structure that was not broken and so needed no tinkering to create head coach position.  head coach has proven a negative, superfluous and way too expensive addition to cricket.  if it aint broke....

the ICC is in the process of the murder of test cricket to produce a baseball game for world consumption and call it cricket.  which is why deh put in the head coach.  cricket in 10 years max will be baseball 2...T20 > > > > >  with head coaches all over the place.  you will have as many head coaches doing the selection as your heart desires

to post responsibly is to admit that the expensive fool in the mix is the president himself...skunt Y-cliff Skameron..who actually owes the 41 million dollars.  it have nutten to do with Brabits and Polly Wolly who were not contracted and responsible for any dam tour. 

Polly Wolly and Brabits were responsible only to play by rules previously agreed on between them and the wicb...but on tour found those rules deliberately and seriously compromised, to the extent they could have ended up giving their labour for nothing.  the president of the wicb was bound to by law and diplomatic principle to negotiate a settlement that would have kept all intact.

but the president is a warmonger and refused to negotiate.  he did not care because he felt so powerful dat he could dictate terms from afar and the minions, the serfs had to comply. 

DAT IS WHY THE INDIAN BOARD IS ANGRY AT SKAMERON AND SOUGHT TO INTERFERE IN WICB POLITICS TO HAVE HIM KICKED OUT..BECAUSE HE COULD HAVE SOLVED THE PROBLEM WITH A TRIP TO INDIA BUT REFUSED TO TALK WITH THE PLAYERS.  SO THE PLAYERS WALKED.
THEN SKAMERON MADE THINGS WORSE BY PUNISHING POLLY AND BRABITS /INTRODUCING INNOCENT OF LEADERSHIP, UNIVERSITY KID, LITTLE JASON HOLDER AS CAPTAIN...COSTING WEST INDIES A REAL SHOT AT THE WORLD CUP.

that is how expensive Skameron really is.  we ent done counting yet.  so we are at 41 million plus the world cup......the man is a walking catastrophe and expense account.

and ketchim can disagree with Polly and Brabits but still expose skameron for the elitists skunt that he is..yet he persists in unduly beating up on the innocent players who led the strike.
