I've noticed that England's decline seems to have coincided with the loss of a few South African players form their team. Will Trott's return help? Not today, obviously, but time will tell.

Might just..a mental re assurance like the presence of these players can do a world of good sometimes.
Trott is steady and takes time to settle and get in the groove.His failure today didnt baffle me though,because once he gets going there is no stopping him from there.
