Not a memorable 100th Test for Younis Khan so far as he spluttered and stuttered his way to 6 off 38 balls before being caught behind off Prasad, who has torn through Pakistan's top order. Despite winning the toss and electing to bat, Pakistan have been reduced to 95/5.

Sri Lanka doing there best to gift wickets away this morning. Sangakkara, Silva and Vithanage all gifted their wicket away with some rather poor decisions. Speaking of decisions, looked like a really dodgy decision by the third umpire to give Prasad not out when it looked as though the ball clearly hit his pad first.

The second new ball has been taken with Sri Lanka currently 214/6, a lead of 76. All hopes of a big first innings lead lay in the hands of Angelo Mathews, who up till now has been rather restrained.

Good fightback from Pakistan as they limited Sri Lanka to 315. Pakistan currently 90/1, still 87 runs behind but after being dismissed for 138 in the first innings they have positioned themselves back into this game. Batting in the fourth innings on this wicket will not be easy.

Pakistan have really clawed their way back into this one. 171/2, just 6 runs behind. As always, Younis Khan shows up in the fourth-innings of a Test. Of batsman with a minimum of 1000 runs scored, Younis has the fourth best fourth-innings average (52.81), behind only Boycott, Gavaskar and Greenidge.

Impressive, indeed ! ...

The youngsters Shezad and Azhar are supporting well alongside the veteran Younis and Misbah!

This is how a proper mix should be ....

Clive Lloyd would do well to Imitate  ;)

I was doing a little research and was surprised to find that Pakistan have won 4 matches when they scored 140 or less in the first innings of a Test match. Their lowest first innings score in a Test match they went on to win was 99 against England in 2012 . They also scored 102 and won against New Zealand in 1990. They beat India when scoring 116 in the first innings against India in 1987 and managed to beat England after scoring 133 back in 1954 .

The lowest of all time is England's 45 in Sydney in 1886-87, a match they went on to win by 13 runs .

No century in his 100th Test match for Younis Khan as he is out for 40. Much like in his first innings, he never looked comfortable at the crease. The game is tentatively poised right now with Pakistan 277/5, a lead of 100. Azhar Ali has been slow and cautious as always en route to his 9th Test match century. If Pakistan could just get the lead up to 240 it would make for a very uncomfortable final day run chase for Sri Lanka.
