2nd ODI: England vs Pakistan at Abu Dhabi

Pakistan require 284 to win. An excellent final 10 overs for Pakistan, restricting England to just 57 runs and 4 boundaries. Wahab and Irfan were brilliant.

Another poor decision by Shozab Raza. He has not had a good match today. Pakistan in a world of trouble at 66/5 (22 ov). The seamers have been brilliant again from England. I like that Morgan has used a seamer at the other end with Rashid as opposed to bowling the spinners in tandem and letting Pakistan milk them for runs, adding more pressure which has resulted in wickets falling at regular intervals.

Rashid gets Rizwan, who was not picking him at all. He looked extremely uncomfortable against him. England making up for their poor showing in the first ODI. Pakistan 80/6.

England win by 95 runs. A complete all around performance today and a great response to the disappointment of the first match. England got off to a flying start with the bat, Hales and Root anchored the middle overs and they posted a very competitive total. The seam bowlers then did the rest, reducing Pakistan to 80/6 after which it was just a formality. Willey, Woakes and Topley were all brilliant.

England outplayed Pakistan today. Alex Hales made 26% of his career aggregate ODI runs in his 21th ODI innings. Now averages 25.
