England should take heart that there is still movement.

It's not as threatening as what has preceded him, but Broad is accurate enough, starting his spell with a maiden.

Sam Curran finds the inside edge of Hardik Pandya's bat with a big swinging delivery and the ball deflects towards wide fine leg.

Hardik wants two but Virat Kohli sends him back and the all-rounder is briefly stranded.

But the throw comes in to Jonny Bairstow and Hardik is able to scramble back to the non-striker's end.

Kohli shakes his head at Hardik, fully aware he will never live it down if he gets run out like Joe Root did yesterday.

Kohli dropped on 51

Virat Kohli is dropped, again. And it's by Dawid Malan, again.

It's a much, much tougher chance than the one the Middlesex man put down when Kohli was on 21.

The ball flies off the outside edge and Malan dives to his right but can't grab it one-handed.

Another big let off for Kohli.

That was a brilliant session. It was fantastic from England. It helps when they get the ball zipping around. Catching is very important, we have seen that over the years. That is the one thing you can point the finger at at England.

The bowling and energy has been absolutely fantastic but that man Virat Kohli stands between England a very good lead.
