Brampton Wolves is the new team in the GT20. It is introduced in place of Cricket West Indies B
which was the runner-up in the last GT20 season.

Vancouver Knights had won the GT20 2018 tournament. It was led by Chris Gayle.

Winnipeg Hawks and Edmonton Royals were the other two teams that had qualified for the playoffs.
