[/quote] After work yesterday , we were having a few drinks and this subject came up / We found it rather corny that they are begging for money when they are well to do.
They should have directed money from sympathizers to a mental health charity or charity of choice . The mortgage for their house will be paid off through insurance . I do find it strange that they are begging for money . The optics do not look good.

this did occur to me. there does not appear to be any need for donations. they will be compensated by the government many times over for the death as a result of crime on the streets
and any large insured commitments they had will be wiped away by insurance that will pay out fully on the death.
