I think Ethihad now fly from Toronto. If not you can always get a connection from JFK.
That's how my family did it in 2009. We had a four-city tour in the UAE and the entire thingamagiggy in India

Toronto to mumbai only
and ijust checked the flight cost and its more than Emirates

Emirates must have introduced a lower fare to compete with Ethidad, because their airfares are always higher than Ethidad.. Do they fly directly to Delhi from TO?
