gurl....salara is a lot of work.
grate coconut ..... but first you have to find coconut that's not rancid.....and that's a challenge when you live where i do
den you got to grate it like i am doing in the pic.....i find using a chooper or food processor does not give the same consistency
den you have to make the sugar cake
den knead the dough and let it rise to make the bread
roll dough and sprad coconut
wrap and bake

i made salara once or twice in Guyana. tasted ok. i dont like baking ....

i love baking.....but for others to eat.
i never make for just me and hubby.....he is diabetic and i am fat :grin:

gave up on exercising, dont like to cook so dont eat very much. i buy salads mostly and soups.
drink wine, lots of it
none of that sounds conducive to healthy living so .....
