No brainer, you may say, but the choice is still curious because the Tridents have direct entry into the CL while Mumbai Indians will have to go through the grind of qualifiers.
But then this is Twenty20 and loyalty has a different meaning here. By sparing the hard-hitting batsman, the Tidents get to earn $ 150,000 and that is no small amount in the scheme of West Indies cricket.
