At least 87 people have been killed and many others trapped after an eight-storey building housing garment factories collapsed outside the Bangladeshi capital, Dhaka.

Firefighters and army personnel are leading the operation to rescue those caught beneath the debris in Savar.

why would you throw your shirt to good will?

thanks to us buying these clothes - these ppl have a job.

it may not be ideal conditions or conditions we are used to but when you see where most of these ppl live...any place of work is good enough.

I suppose you are right ....just the thought of wearing sumting :

knowing the Inhumane conditions it was cut and sewn ...

there are alot of ppl in india who live in inhuman conditions and alot of ppl that do not.

any lil piece of work these ppl get they take - they are grateful for it.

when i was in dubai/abu dhabi and saw where the workers lived and how they were transported to and from their compound to their workplace - i was enraged at the Emirates govnt.  However when I saw how the same ppl lived in india and what they have to do to survive - how their own ppl treat them like garbage - that job in the Emirates was like gold to them.
