AB De Villiers looking to defend off the front foot and after an lbw appeal :

he held the pose for the umpire.

The ball rolled over towards slip, and the keeper Adnan Akmal signalled to Younis Khan

to return the ball to the stumps.

Adnan took the bails off and after many replays it was determined that de Villiers' backfoot

was just outside the crease.... :-[

That 35 year old debutant Spinner captured 3 wickets !

was the ball according to the Laws , now " dead " ?

Why would the 3rd Umpire even consider a run out after giving a not out on the LBW appeal ?

Why would 2 knowledgeable Ozzie Umps EVEN go upstairs ??

I feel terrible for AB  Sad

Great day for Pakistan, but can't say anything until they bat on this pitch. Doesn't seem to be such a bad pitch to bat on, but rather good bowling and below par batting. 250ish should be OK score, but Pakistan should be happy and try to get far ahead in the first innings itself. They're not good at making up in the second innings.

Amla, what a guy though. True legend in the making.

Nope. Pretty sure it wasn't. Third umpire checks for dead ball, i.e. if has been already signaled so by the square leg umpire. I'm guessing not. Carelessness on AB's part IMO. Feel bad for him, tho.
