I thought Gibson had a wider role akin to this?
Anyway, a good selection and good to have a Cricket Development Directorate focus. Pybus or not good move.

why is it a good move mail ::confused::
I think the strategy of Cricket development requires a focus as it is a large job. So to have a Directorate solely focussing on the long term vision is a sound move.
In terms of Richard suitability, academically he fits especially his full Coaching Qualification, his coaching experience and success.
If we knew all the candidates then we may have a different view.
I am not surprised the CEO, who was a Management Consultant himself, would have gone for this skill set as he is thinking Project Planning, resourcing and delivery.
I wish him the very best but were there other suitable West Indian candidates?
who says that that is a job that fits coaching qualifications..or that it is a job to be addrsssed by a bureucracyย as such at all... or by a bureaucratic official?
what indeed is the scope of the job mail ::confused::
pray tell us and lets see how it is to be addressed and if all this wicb jackassness and elitism is of any value..is going to make a positive difference at all ::confused::
come on...what has Pibus been hired to do ::confused::
then what is the scope of the actual job in fact ::confused::
is the west indies a culture..and how have we managed to get to this point in cricket..what does that achievement contain... how does that history define any dam job Pibus has been given to do, at big money out of the wicbs' supposedly bare coffers.
and..if we know whats involved in all that we must know the scope of the job... andย whether it is best to go get an enlishman to do it..
and can an englishman or any forriner do such a job..and if there is something to learn from forrin practices in areas of administration, why do't we define what it is they have developed that we can use,ย decide how to apply it, and hire some consultancy from them if necessary...rather than hiring one of them to come in and actually do the job, in a high position, higher compensation....which implies imposition from the top down, which should effectively stymie cooperation between the parts of west indian cricket.. especially at the grass roots levelย ::confused::
