C'mon thats mediocre ....forget comparisons as to how other retired greats did !
43.9 is mediocre in any analysis.

BOTTOM LINE:
* Sangakkara averages 43 against Australia; 35 against England; 48 against South Africa and 48 against NZ.
* sanga's overall stats are great---56 average overall----but he has been only a good performer against Aus/Eng/SA/NZ.
I aim to stick to facts and the manner in which numbers can be compared on a consistent normalised basis.
I notice when the argument is getting away from you name calling ensues.
I have challenged your assertion about KS and I availed you of the facts with and without the minnows.
If you are such a numbers expert then you will appreciate all the other factors that equalises, normalises, makesย a level playing field to facilitate equitable comparison.
For me this is lacking in most things you present.
I am not about ganging up or winning but debating.
You never fail to avoid the latter in a rational manner.

FACT:
* Sangakarra is statistically a great batsman.
* Sangakkara has averaged 72+ against subcontinent teams pls 2 minnows(WI/Zim)
* Sangakkara averages 42 against Aus/SA/Eng/NZ combined.
* Sanga averages 63 at home and 49+ away
* Sanga averages 60 in 5 tests in Australia
BOTTOM LINE:
* Kumar Sangakkara is the 11th batsman to enter the 10K club----he averages 56+-----he has put up great numbers overall.
* But like most batsmen who have put up great numbers----there are some flaws that could be found in Sanga's numbers.

Taking out KS' record againgt the Minnows makes little difference to his overall record.
Agreed or disagreed?

*If you take out Sangakkara's record against Bangladesh, Zimbabwe he averages 52.90
* If you take out his record against Bang/Zim/ and the West Indies---he averages 52.78
