C'mon thats mediocre ....forget comparisons as to how other retired greats did !

43.9 is mediocre in any analysis.

Easyrider is a blowhard like chin---he doesn't understand numbers----but he loves to argue.

BOTTOM LINE:

* Sangakkara averages 43 against Australia; 35 against England; 48 against South Africa and 48 against NZ.

* sanga's overall stats are great---56 average overall----but he has been only a good performer against Aus/Eng/SA/NZ.

CHIN IS A PROVEN PATHOLOGICAL LIAR; EASYRIDER IS JUST A LIAR.

* EasyRider came here a while bragging about being an actuary.

* First he said he was an associate of the society of actuary.

* The later he said he was a Fellow of the society of actuary.

* He was caught lying.

* Like chin---easyrider was embellishing his credentials.

* THE REV DOES NOT ENGAGE WITH PATHOLOGICAL LIARS(Chin) and LIARS(easyrider).

The Rev,

I aim to stick to facts and the manner in which numbers can be compared on a consistent normalised basis.

I notice when the argument is getting away from you name calling ensues.

I have challenged your assertion about KS and I availed you of the facts with and without the minnows.

If you are such a numbers expert then you will appreciate all the other factors that equalises, normalises, makesย  a level playing field to facilitate equitable comparison.

For me this is lacking in most things you present.

I am not about ganging up or winning but debating.

You never fail to avoid the latter in a rational manner.

* You are not making any sense easy rider-- You are just trying to argue for the sake or arguing.

FACT:

* Sangakarra is statistically a great batsman.

* Sangakkara has averaged 72+ against subcontinent teams pls 2 minnows(WI/Zim)

* Sangakkara averages 42 against Aus/SA/Eng/NZ combined.

* Sanga averages 63 at home and 49+ away

* Sanga averages 60 in 5 tests in Australia

BOTTOM LINE:

* Kumar Sangakkara is the 11th batsman to enter the 10K club----he averages 56+-----he has put up great numbers overall.

* But like most batsmen who have put up great numbers----there are some flaws that could be found in Sanga's numbers.

* What is it you want to argue about easyrider ?

I do not always have the time but I want to learn and debate.

What I do not need to learn is about numbers, external and internal factors influencing its interpretation, consistency of assumptions etc.

I am not here to be disrespectful to THE REV or anyone else.

What I do not respect is someone making statements and then not being able to respond to specific queries inย  a consistent and adult manner.

And that is where I am at odds with THE REV as he seems to think his word is beyond question as if he has some divine right.

He might be correct in what he is saying but excluding debate is unhealthy.

Taking out KS' record againgt the Minnows makes little difference to his overall record.

Agreed or disagreed?

easyrider:

* If you want to learn---read the Rev's post and digest them.

* If you want to debate---hook up with a pathological liar and bullshyt artist like chin----the 2 of you can bullshyt together.

Chin head hard.....extremely uncomfortable with numbers !

easyrider though comfortable with numbers questions the veracity of :

Great as quantifiable over 50 career average

60 SR as a determinant of Dominace.

Of course consistency ratio and other elements will also be questioned.

*If you take out Sangakkara's record against Bangladesh, Zimbabwe he averages 52.90

* If you take out his record against Bang/Zim/ and the West Indies---he averages 52.78

* Overall Sanga's average is 56.59
