Heart break for Sri Lanka and South Africa. England are through to the semi finals. What a game.

I can't take much more of this. It's never easy with England. Top top credit to Jordan and Stokes at the end. They got their line and length right on every ball. England helped out by the fact that Mathews was playing on one leg at the end.

Somehow, some way, against all odds, England have advanced to the semi-finals and will most likely face New Zealand (barring West Indies losing to Afghanistan).

Mathews has played the best innings of the tournament so far. Classical. No rubbish shots. On one leg too.

He was incredible today. Such a class player. While the rest of Sri Lanka's batsman were losing their heads, Mathews played sensibly and faultless cricket. He never took any undue risks and almost single-handedly dragged his team over the line. He bowled well too.
