Post WuFlu, however, the WHO suddenly now claims that herd immunity can only be achieved through mass vaccination.

This monumental shift comes as President Donald Trump’s “Operation Warp Speed” COVID-19 vaccines are being mass distributed all across the country. Vice President Mike Pence and others in positions of power are busily pretending to get jabbed on live television in order to manipulate the “herd” into getting jabbed, all for the alleged purpose of eradicating the virus through vaccine-induced herd immunity.

According to the WHO’s new definition of herd immunity, which it also calls “population immunity,” a certain “threshold of vaccination” is necessary to keep people protected from the novel virus.

“Vaccines train our immune systems to create proteins that fight disease, known as ‘antibodies,’ just as would happen when we are exposed to a disease but – crucially – vaccines work without making us sick,” the WHO claims. “Vaccinated people are protected from getting the disease in question and passing it on, breaking any chains of transmission.”

The country this year which has been most ravaged by Covid-19 – losing a shocking 1,600 people in every million to the virus at the time of writing – is Belgium.

That might come as something of a surprise. You could be forgiven for thinking it was America, thanks to Trump’s alleged ignorance of science. Or what about Britain, which locked down ‘too late’ because of its government’s short-lived but foolish belief in freedom? Or Brazil, whose right-wing leader complained that lockdowns and masks were for ‘fags’? If not those, then surely Sweden, where there has famously been no hard lockdown at all?

But no, it’s Belgium. There’s nothing particularly unusual about Belgium’s response. Nothing that diverged significantly from the consensus. It did the same thing as everyone else around the same time as everyone else. It even garnered praise for its testing capacity.

There’s one caveat: Belgium’s unparalleled death rate might be down to how the deaths are counted. Some say Belgium is merely the ‘most honest’ country – while others have accused officials of overcounting and including all kinds of deaths not caused by Covid.

The media is almost completely ignoring this fact.

According to the CDC, anyone who has symptoms or tests positive is a risk to others even if masks are worn.

The Covid-19 hysteria, scientifically called mass psychogenic illness, that began in March has yet to peak. And if some have it their way it will continue indefinitely, merely going, in medical terminology, from epidemic to endemic. That is, it will never fully go away no matter what. We apparently finally have some medicines that work with countless more being tested, doctors have gotten better at applying treatments, vaccines are being administered in what is by far record time, and yet the media and public health community onslaught shows absolutely no sign of abating.

We have heard White House Covid-19 task force member Dr. Deborah Birx claim “This is not just the worst public health event. This is the worst event that this country will face, not just from a public health side.” Oy! This even as we’re now hearing the mainstream media, led by cult figure Dr. Anthony Fauci, say that the vaccinations now being rolled out don’t mean the masks can come off. Start with the second first.

There are any number of cute memes asking in some manner, “If masks work, why do we need social distancing? If social distancing works, why do we need masks?” Well, it’s called a layered defense (with no pun intended regarding the use of masks or those people you see wearing two at once.) Cars are filled with a vast number of safety devices and roads have also been made safer in myriad ways, but it doesn’t mean they all don’t work in their own manner. So whatever arguments there are against masks (such as that they don’t stop aerosolized virus) aren’t necessarily negated because social distancing is still encouraged or mandated.

At this point, it might be helpful for the WHO to produce some kind of clarification that either offers substantially more context to explain this remark.

But we suspect they won't.

Why? Well, perhaps because that context might undermine certain government officials' insistence that there's absolutely no reason to question the efficacy, and potential side effects (both long-term, and short) tied to the new COVID-19 vaccines.

The senator ripped Fauci's statements on face masks and herd immunity following an interview the doctor gave to the New York Times in which he admitted that he purposely misled Americans on just how many people would need to get the vaccination in order for the nation to reach herd immunity.

In a new op-ed posted at Fox News on Wednesday, Rubio went after Fauci again, this time detailing just what he found "appalling" about Fauci's history of misleading the public with the intent to "manipulate their behavior."

Rubio began by noting that most of the media have ignored Fauci's admission to the Times, and he then laid out just what the doctor admitted to:

The story is straightforward. For most of this year, Dr. Fauci and other scientists in our public health establishment have been telling Americans that about 60 to 70 percent of the nation would need a vaccine in order for us to reach herd immunity and make the coronavirus a non-issue.

But, speaking with The New York Times, Dr. Fauci admitted that he believes the real number is in fact significantly higher — perhaps 75 to 90 percent — and he declined to be forthright because he felt the country wasn't ready to hear it. Only now did he say that he feels he has the freedom to "nudge this up a bit" without discouraging the nation.
Though highly critical of Fauci's actions, the Florida senator did acknowledge that he believed the medical expert's intentions were good. But that didn't change the basic fact about what Fauci was guilty of: "lying to the American people in order to manipulate their behavior."
