true, she was not happy that he took that job.  But he saw it as an opportunity to get into politics.  But that backfired quickly!!

hopefully, there is a lesson for us men in there !!

that's right.  he had to have known.

he was a powerful man in his own right..a general on the way up..national security adviser under Regan..Joint Chiefs chairman and so on.  how the hell does a man get all there and does not have a network loyal to him inside the works that would keep him abreast

and he himself would be expert enough to know..after all military is his whole career. 

skunt would have known at a glance..but he is a career man also so he followed 'orders' or protocol and did what he was asked to or told to do
