Israel launches airstrike inside Syria

The Israeli air force struck inside Syria Friday, hitting a shipment of missiles Israeli officials said was bound for the militant group Hezbollah in Lebanon, according to wire services reports from the region.

Israel attacked inside Syria once earlier this year but the latest comes as fears have mounted that Syria’s military command structure is collapsing.
