that happen for real..Policeman stopped a guy on a bicycle late at night with no lights at "Springlands".. He could not spell Springlands so he walked him to "78" and wrote "78".. The Police ;Fraser

It goes like this , during Burnham times , the qualification to be a policeman is the ability to be incapable of reading and writing and so this policeman ticketed a cyclist in missibbe village , a place near to Tain village Since he could not spell Missibbe , he dragged his ass to Tain village and charged him

Haha !! ... reminds me somewhat of the young Indo cop who unknowingly stopped then Deputy Prime Minister, Dr. Ptolemy Reid's car on the East Coast Road.
Ptolemy Reid: "Do you know who I am? I am Dr. Ptolemy Reid, Deputy Prime Minister of this country Guyana"
Young Policeman: "Nah man, no way !!!.... You cyant be Ptollo .......... Ptollo moh ugly than you" ;D ;D

true story .... I once went to report that someone had offloaded sand and blocked my bridge. The policewoman tried to write the report about a heap sand. She wrote heap in three different ways, all wrong, then she gave up and wrote "load", which is what I had said to her in the first place.
