Iranian chocolate thief faces hand amputation

An Iranian judge has sentenced a man convicted of robbing a confectionery shop to have one of his hands cut off, Iranian media report.
The judge also sentenced the man to one year in prison.
Police arrested the man in May after finding $900 (£560), three pairs of gloves and a large amount of chocolate in his car, Fars news agency said.
Under Iran's Islamic law, amputations are usually reserved for habitual thieves.
Last week, authorities cut off the hand of a man convicted of two robberies in the north-eastern city of Mashhad.

I once knew someone from that area who had his hand amputated for quite a trivial theft...those people do not play. Can't they start with just cutting off a finger or two first?, I mean my Gawd!!!

That's when they should cut off both arms! Pedophiles don't just destroy children's lives with their dix and after they cut off the arms they should leave the penis, but damage it in a fashion that it can't function for anything except peeing!

Nothing the Iranians do surprises me.
A short time ago, they hanged a women. Rarely, does any nation, except the US, carry out death sentences for women.
Now, it is reported that a chocolate thief may have his hand or hands chopped off.
What is next?
I am surprised that the Iranian state does not execute children.
