Y'all were paid, and could go back upon Expiry of contract as some did :
hence no reparations.....
maybe Law suit for below minimum wage :-[

A similar debate occurs in the US every few years. I live in the American south where slavery occurred and some of my own ancestors kept slaves. The legacy of slavery stretches far into our own time. Even when the slaves were freed my ancestors had a two hundred year head start on them.
