A trooper spotted Marcia Brandon's 2005 Pontiac Bonneville going 110 mph Thursday on Highway 26 west of Gresham, according to the state police news release on the incident.
She said she was on her way to an appointment and wasn't aware she was going that fast. The trooper who chased her down did note that she had her emergency flashers on as she overtook other cars.
The state police report did not note what sort of appointment it was.
Brandon was given a ticket for $1,103.

I don't blame the trooper for ticketing her. I have been in the car plenty of times with an elderly relative who was pulled over. They pretend to suffer from senility. Generally, it works over and over again.
That old lady drove recklessly without a care of how her actions hurt over drivers.

Hopefully it wasn't a Doctor's appointment or some other sort of emergency, but its really cool to see an 82 year old woman driving that fast, that is great, I think I wish she was my Grandma she's way too cool for shool.

No old person should drive at that speed because of their slow reflexes and impaired senses. Especially at 82. Can you imagine what she was like when she was young though. Probably one heck of a gal !
